Road data auto-loads from OpenStreetMap once you zoom in to city/township level. Community-tagged — verify locally before relying on it in winter.

Winter tires and AWD/4WD reduce the travel-risk level for snow/ice-related hazards (not wind, heat, or storms) — the Conditions panel notes when this adjustment kicks in.

API Keys

TomTom API key

Powers the map tiles, satellite view, live traffic flow, and routing/navigation. Without it, the map falls back to OpenStreetMap tiles and routing is disabled.

Tomorrow.io API key

Optional enrichment (precipitation type, feels-like) for your current location only — kept well under the free tier's 500/day limit. Everything else keeps using Open-Meteo.

Anthropic API key

Enables the ✨ AI briefing on the dashboard and "ask about your trip" in the Route panel. Get a key at console.anthropic.com — a briefing costs a fraction of a cent.

Keys are stored only in this browser's local storage — never sent anywhere except directly to TomTom/Tomorrow.io/Anthropic.
